Ingredients
- 1 ball pizza dough about 250g
- 1/4 cup San Marzano tomato sauce
- 4 oz fresh mozzarella torn into pieces
- Fresh basil leaves
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Pinch sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven as hot as it will go (ideally 500°F+) with a pizza stone or steel inside for at least 45 minutes.
- Stretch the dough into a 10-12 inch round on a floured surface or peel.
- Spread the tomato sauce thinly, leaving a border for the crust.
- Dot the mozzarella evenly over the sauce.
- Slide onto the hot stone and bake for 6-9 minutes, until the crust is blistered and golden.
- Top with fresh basil, a drizzle of olive oil, and a pinch of sea salt. Slice and serve immediately.
